A day or two after a heavy downpour, I found fungus growing from an old log left in the garden. At night, I was preparing to photograph it when I smelt something unusual coming from it. Under careful lighting, I discovered that the fungus was smoldering with what I guess must be its spores! It was an amazing display of new life. Richard W J Koh, Amaranthine Photos, Singapore.
