2016 Paralympics Team Singapore's Celebration Parade

Singapore clinched two gold medals and one bronze, all in swimming, at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this September. To celebrate, medallists Yip Pin Xiu and Theresa Goh, together with their 11 fellow Paralympians from various sports, were chauffeured in a convoy of Ferrari supercars on 24 September 2016.

Widely regarded as one of Singapore's greatest ever athletes, he is a retired Singaporean sprinter, relay runner, former footballer and educator. Sportsman of the Year in both 1968 and 1969. his timing of 10.38 seconds in the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games 100 metres was a national record that stood for 33 years.

An icon and sprint legend in Singapore sports, Canagasabai Kunalan, cheers the Paralympians on.
